Welcome to Bullnose Tile & Stone. We are a specialty tile company who cares deeply about the quality of tile that we sell, as well as the preservation of our environment. We showcase companies who are sincere in creating high calibre tiles, rich in handmade details that highlight the true craftsmanship of each piece. Bullnose Tile collections are mostly handcrafted by true artisans and master crafts people from around the world. Our stunning tile collections are mainly made throughout North America, but also include Italy, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Indonesia, and India. We seek out products produced from responsible companies who care about keeping our planet earth healthy and happy for generations to come.

our story

Bullnose Tile & Stone's origins started back in 1992 on 4390 West 10th Avenue in Vancouver by husband and wife team, Steve and Laura Weiss. Throughout the years, they have gathered a brilliant collection of tile by working directly with manufacturers and artisans to produce tiles made to Bullnose specifications. This then led to a creation of an array of glaze colours that were carefully developed by Bullnose, specifically for western Canada. Highlighting colourful, handcrafted, and environmentally friendly products were the focus for their collections and because of it, Bullnose Tile offers a diverse range of products from responsible companies. After almost a quarter of a century selling artisan tiles and designing countless spaces, original owners Steve and Laura Weiss decided to enter retirement in 2016, passing on their torch to Joel and Catherine Christensen. Steve and Laura will be missed by their former customers but their hand in building such a reputable company will always be present.

a new chapter

In the summer of 2026, Bullnose Tile and Stone moved to a brand new location. The new showroom and warehouse space has been combined into one for customer convenience and is now located in South Vancouver. Yes, we know the current location is not nearly as charming as the original store in Point Grey, but we promise to carry all the unique and original collections as before, (plus a few amazing new ones). Current proprietors, value the importance of being committed to maintaining Bullnose Tile's vision in selling superb handcrafted items, as well as offering the best service possible. Our store originated thru the public's need for unique products that convey a variety of color, creativity and design. After more than three decades later, Bullnose Tile and Stone remains true to expressing colour, style and individuality.

It is important for Bullnose Tile & Stone to offer our customers a variety of colours and unique designs to choose from and that is exactly what we do. In our show room, colourful, textural, handcrafted tile is found everywhere, hence our moto, "Rebelling against Monotony". You won't find factory tiles made for the masses here, but what you will find are hand crafted, perfectly imperfect stand-out products.

Bullnose Tile is respectful of our environment as we are to providing brilliantly unique tiles to our customers. We make a point in purchasing our tiles from earth conscious, companies that carry the same values for honoring our planet as we do. By recycling our cardboard, paper products, plastics, packaging materials we try to do our part in caring for our amazing planet.
